If corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with further services related to website and internet use. Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)

To measure conversions, this website uses Meta’s visitor action pixel. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road Dublin 4, Dublin, D04 X2K5, Ireland. According to Meta, however, the data collected is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.

This allows the behaviour of page visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Meta advertisement. In this way, the effectiveness of Meta advertisements can be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures can be optimised.

The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta so that a connection to the respective user profile on Facebook or Instagram is possible and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Meta data usage policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). This enables Meta to place advertisements on Facebook or Instagram pages and other advertising channels. We as the site operator cannot influence this use of the data.

The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

We use the advanced matching function within the Meta Pixel.

Advanced matching allows us to transmit various types of data (e.g. place of residence, federal state, postcode, hashed e-mail addresses, names, gender, date of birth or telephone number) of our customers and prospective customers that we collect via our website to Meta. This enables us to tailor our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram even more precisely to people who are interested in our offers. Advanced matching also improves the attribution of website conversions and expands custom audiences.

Insofar as personal data is collected on our website with the help of the tool described here and forwarded to Meta, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road Dublin 4, Dublin, D04 X2K5, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). Joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and its forwarding to Meta. The processing by Meta that takes place after forwarding is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations incumbent on us jointly have been set out in a joint processing agreement. The wording of the agreement can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing the data protection information when using the Meta tool and for the secure implementation of the tool on our website in terms of data protection law. Meta is responsible for the data security of the Meta products. 7. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you have stored with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe or once the purpose no longer applies. We reserve the right to delete or block e-mail addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.

After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your e-mail address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist if this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is only used for this purpose and is not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

Newsletter for existing customers

If you order goods or services from us and provide your e-mail address in the process, this e-mail address may subsequently be used by us to send newsletters, provided we inform you of this in advance. In such a case, the newsletter will only contain direct advertising for our own similar goods or services. You can unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time. For this purpose, each newsletter contains a corresponding link. In this case, the legal basis for sending the newsletter is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with § 7(3) UWG (German Act against Unfair Competition).

After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your e-mail address may be stored by us in a blacklist to prevent future mailings to you.

YouTube with enhanced data protection

This website embeds videos from the YouTube website. The operator of the website is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

When you visit one of our pages on which YouTube is embedded, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, videos played in enhanced privacy mode are not used to personalise browsing on YouTube. Advertisements displayed in enhanced privacy mode are also not personalised. No cookies are set in enhanced privacy mode. Instead, however, so-called local storage elements are stored in the user’s browser, which, similar to cookies, contain personal data and can be used for recognition. Details on enhanced privacy mode can be found here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171780.

After a YouTube video has been activated, further data processing operations may be triggered over which we have no influence.

YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in its privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Processing of customer and contract data

We collect, process and use personal customer and contract data to establish, define the content of and amend our contractual relationships. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of this website (usage data) only insofar as this is necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship and expiry of any existing statutory retention periods. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

10. Audio and video conferences

Data processing

For communication with our customers, we use, among other things, online conference tools. The specific tools we use are listed below. If you communicate with us via video or audio conference over the internet, your personal data will be collected and processed by us and the provider of the respective conference tool.

The conference tools collect all data that you provide/use to use the tools (e-mail address and/or your telephone number). Furthermore, the conference tools process the duration of the conference, the start and end (time) of participation in the conference, the number of participants and other “context information” related to the communication process (metadata).

Furthermore, the provider of the tool processes all technical data required to handle online communication. This includes in particular IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or loudspeaker and the type of connection.

If content is exchanged, uploaded or otherwise made available within the tool, it is also stored on the servers of the tool providers. Such content includes in particular cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards and other information shared while using the service.

Please note that we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the tools used. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider. Further information on data processing by the conference tools can be found in the privacy policies of the respective tools, which we have listed below this text.

Purpose and legal bases

The conference tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves to generally simplify and accelerate communication with us or our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Insofar as consent has been requested, the tools in question are used on the basis of this consent; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Storage period

The data collected directly by us via the video and conference tools will be deleted from our systems as soon as you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your end device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data that is stored by the operators of the conference tools for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the conference tools directly.

11. Our own services

Handling of applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, post or via an online application form). Below we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that your data will be collected, processed and used in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions and that your data will be treated in strict confidence.

Scope and purpose of data collection

If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act; initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given your consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Within our company, your personal data will only be passed on to persons involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data you have submitted will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.

As part of the application process, we may also carry out an internet search on you. This mainly includes Google search, LinkedIn and Xing. The legal basis for this type of processing is our legitimate interest in obtaining an overall impression of publicly available information about you in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Data retention period

If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have submitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. Retention serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), it will only be deleted when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.

Longer retention may also take place if you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Inclusion in the applicant pool

If we do not make you a job offer, it may be possible to include you in our applicant pool. In the event of inclusion, all documents and information from the application will be transferred to the applicant pool in order to contact you in the event of suitable vacancies.

Inclusion in the applicant pool takes place exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Giving consent is voluntary and has no connection with the current application process. The data subject can revoke their consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool unless there are legal reasons for retention.

The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been given.
